I love you buddy!
Well, today we take our little boy Spencer to the Doctor for a checkup and for him to get his shots. Oh boy! Most people close to me know I do not like shots and will do anything and everything to get out of them - and have most of my life. Now it’s my kids turn. My daughter Olivia takes after me - once she hears the shot word, it’s over. She cannot take it at all. Now my son Spencer, well he doesn’t know any better yet. So we will see how he does.
I have to admit, I don’t like for them to get shots. I hurt for them and love them very much. It’s interesting to see how my life has changed! There’s a lot less about me thats for sure. Having children has taught me how selfish I really was. Now today, my life is about making sure my family is protected and provided for. See, there is something special about Olivia and Spencer. They aren’t one bit interested in things that I have or toys that I have in the garage etc. They are simply interested in just me!
Spencer has a wonderful way of reminding me this. He has the most beautiful smile and uses it often. I don’t have to do a thing for him to smile at me. In fact all it usually takes is for me to get in front of him and when he notices me - the attack smile comes out. He’s amazing and has captured my heart!
So today - it’s the Doctors. Oh man……. I’m gonna have to go into protect mode here again!
